This is a very cute shoe, but I
wish it was a little more comfortable. I have plantars
fasciitis, so I need comfortable shoes with good arch support.
I was a little disappointed that the cushioning isn't as good
as in my New Balance running shoes. They're a great shoe for
running errands, but I wouldn't use them for a long walk.
I wanted a mule style shoe that had some support and structure
to it, but that was easy to slide in and out of. The shoe fit
perfectly and I am able to fit an orthotic insert in it that I
need to wear. The only bad thing about it is that after
wearing it for any length of time, my right ankle started to
hurt a little. That went away after I went back to my lace-up
New Balance shoes. However, I am going to try them again to
see if I can become accustomed to them. I'm hoping it's just
because it's something different that my feet are not used to.
Very pleased with comfort and style. As a diabetic who must
pay attention to foot care and still interested in style and
foot protection, I really enjoy these shoes. Added bonus:
teen-age grandchildren say I'm a "cool" grandma!
The shoe is comforatble, but I have to remember to put it on
fully to ensure the ridge in the back of the shoe does not rub
on my heel. Adio Stanley skate. I ordered the shoe a 1/2 size
bigger, and did not expect this to be a problem.
I tried on my daughters 801 and immediately fell in love with
it. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO WEAR A SLIDE SHOE BECAUSE OF MY
NARROW FOOT AND HIGH INSTEP. This shoe does not fall off and
is so comphy. I should buy one in ther colors!
I first bought a red pair of 801's and I love them. When I saw
the brown, I wanted a second pair. These shoes are typical,
great feeling New Balance shoes. Being slip-ons adds to the
convenience of coming in and out of the house. They stay on
remarkably well, I can run in them, and they are just as
comfortable as my regular New Balance tennis shoes. I would
buy more if there were a greater color selection - this model
is fantastic.
Wears this shoe: At home, driving, errands, to friends' homes
I bought a pair of these last year and absolutely loved them.
It took a while to get used to them, but after that, they felt
great. My old pair started to show some wear and tear, so I
wanted to replace them with the same thing - why mess with a
good thing, right? So, I bought another pair in the same size
and color and they felt great right out of the box - no
"getting used to" time required. Stanley shoes, I wear a
10B in New Balance, and the grey 801's were this size and fit
fine. However, I wanted to try some other colors and tried a
black in the same size. They were not as good a fit and felt
tighter. I probably could have gotten a half size larger or
perhaps a wider one. I don't know why there's a differnece in
the sizings and Adio colors, but I've found the grey ones to
be true to size and width. |
